Geekygirlyglitter: Let Me Introduce Myself

It has been two weeks since the new year started and when it began I wrote down a huge list of what I wanted to accomplish. Unfortunately I feel like I still haven’t made any progress on any of them. So I’ve decided to start this blog for two reasons. The first is that starting a blog and adding to it often was one of the things I wanted to accomplish this year and the second is that I feel that if I share my goals with the world it will give me a better chance of doing everything I want to do. So aside from the other things I want to start blogging about I will have update blogs (maybe once a month or something) about things I’ve done to get closer to my goals. But first, I think I should introduce myself and explain what makes me, me.

My name is Kaitlin, I’m 20 years old (21 on July 4th), and live in Northern California. As you may have guessed I have a lot of goals and I am the kind of person that wants to make a huge difference in the world. I am a free spirit and like things that are out of the ordinary. I feel that I have a very unique personality and a lot of times people think I’m “weird” or put me down for being me. And when I was younger I let those people and comments get me down and stopped letting my personality shine through but recently I have rediscovered who I am and I’m not afraid to show it.
The people closest to me say I’m a “hippie” because I am very into saving the environment and animals that are going extinct, not being wasteful, saving electricity, and spreading peace and kindness throughout the world, but I take that label on proudly.
I have a very close relationship with God but I don’t go to church. I understand that some people feel closer to God when in church and gain many benefits while being in that environment but for me I feel just as close to Him while praying in my own space as when I do while I’m at church. I also feel that everyone’s relationship with God or everyone’s spiritual beliefs are there own and should not be judged. I respect everyone’s beliefs and enjoy hearing other peoples views on religion and spirituality even if they are much different then mine but I also ask that mine be respected too.
I am a huge makeup enthusiast and an aspiring make up artist. I love color and use makeup and a way to express myself. I love sharing makeup and beauty tips and love discovering new ones too.

So what can you expect from this blog???

The main reason I wanted to start my blog (like I mentioned earlier) is to share my goals and make updates on my progress, so expect to see those and One of the other huge reasons for me starting this was to document my life and share all the fun times I hope to have. Another big part of the blog will be makeup tips, beauty product reviews, tutorials, favorite products, etc. I enjoy helping people through hard times in they’re lives so I will have inspirational things on here and tips on how to deal with difficult times. A huge way I get inspiration for my life is reading quotes (I’ve even started a quote journal that a read when I need a pick me up) so I will also be adding a “Quote of the day”. So far that is all I have planned but I’m sure I’ll add some random stuff every once in awhile.
